EVENT EXPIRED
Mitsuko Uchida is one of the world’s greatest pianists and watching her play is utterly life enhancing. We can’t think of a more inspiring way to start the New Year - and coast through the rest of January – than hearing her explore some of Schumann’s most fascinating and beautiful music, as well as playing Preludes and Fugues by Bach, and Schoenberg’s Op.19. The only problem, usually, with a Uchida recital, is that you can’t get tickets, unless you book months ahead, for love or money. As usual most of the seats in the stalls at the Royal Festival Hall for this one sold out ages ago. But amazingly, there are still tickets available for the rear stalls (and the acoustics and views are so good in the Royal Festival Hall that it doesn’t matter where you sit), as well as a handful for the stalls. This is a rare chance to see this world class musician…this coming Tuesday. But book today. We have.
