EVENT EXPIRED

Showing over 100 original prints by the brilliant twentieth-century landscape photographer Ansel Adams, this show focuses on his fascination with water.  You’ll find everything from geysers to snow and rivers to rapids here, all of it exhilaratingly detailed in his custom black and white photographs.  The pictures that we’d seen at a previous show had been frustratingly small so it was a relief to find that this exhibition includes some huge photographs, particularly a series of 3 murals which are almost 3 meters in height and even more impressive for their size.  Showing some of his best known work, alongside some never shown in the UK before, this really is an unmissable show revealing the rugged, rawness of the American wilderness in all it’s untamed glory.
