Prize draw: win a pair of tickets to see V&A’s Hollywood Costume show and a copy of the book Hollywood Unseen

What a treat the latest V&A blockbuster show is.  Showing over a 100 costumes from Hollywood’s top films, it’s hard to think of a hit movie that isn’t included, from Daniel Craig’s black tie suit in Casino Royale to Vivien Leigh’s velvet ‘curtain’ dress from Gone with the Wind. It isn’t just lots of stuffed dummys though (and not those either for each costume is shown with a moving image of the actor’s face), for there are interviews with directors and their collaborative costume designers as well as actors such as Meryl Streep talking about the importance of her outfits in films like Out of Africa. Most of all, though, it’s the costume details that we loved: from the tiny waist on Audrey Hepburn’s little black dress by Hubert de Givenchy from Breakfast at Tiffany’s to the glittery red shoes from The Wizard of Oz.
