Kids & Dance: watch hip hop showcase at Breakin’ Convention’s Open Art Surgery

EVENT EXPIRED
We always love Breakin’ Convention’s hip hop events, and this one sounds like it will be up there with their best stuff. Open Art Workshop is a showcase of brand new hip hop theatre, so you get to see some of the best dancers, emcees and musicians trying out new ideas and sharing their work. Jonzi D, artistic director of Breakin’ Convention and Associate Artist of Sadler’s Wells will be on hosting duties, moving things along, and inviting the audience to critique the work they see. Dancers and groups include B-Girl Candy, Spoken Movement, Cindy Claes, Project G and Joshua Idehen. If you are a hip hop or street dance fan – and we are – this will be a great evening: a real insider peak into how new routines and work is put together, as well as a chance to see and hear some fabulous dancing and music. Plus, tickets only cost a fiver, though do note that we’ve been told that the show has an age guidance of 14+, so this one’s for older kids and adults only.
