Tech: Holiday Apps we can’t travel without

Suncream: tick. Bikini: tick. Tickets & Passport: tick. But have you uploaded the best holiday apps onto your phone? Here are our top picks for this year:
Google translate (FREE): get instant spoken translations in over 30 languages. With a dictionary thrown in and the ability to read non-Latin scripts too, now you can (almost) feel like a native abroad.
TuneIn Radio(FREE): listen to over 50,000 worldwide radios. Alternatively, if you’re feeling homesick, catch up with Radio 4.
Skyscanner (FREE): if you’re at an airport and need to buy a last minute ticket, type in your destination and sky scanner will search over 1,000 airlines. Not only that but it will also tell you the easiest way to get from an airport to the centre of town by taxi, train or bus.
Wikihood (FREE): combining Wikipedia and Googlemaps, this handy app will tell you all you need to know about points of interest near you. It’s like a set of guide books in your pocket.
Camera Plus Pro (£1.49): whilst our i-Phone cameras are handy, they are a little lacking on the technical side. With Camera Plus Pro, however, you can add on some handy gadgets like lighting adjusters, that will transform your photos in no time.
Autostitch Panorama (£1.49): we love this app which transforms a Hockney-style set of ‘patchwork’ pictures into one complete panoramic photo. Genius.
