Table Tennis: play ping pong for free on pop-up tables all over London and England with Ping!

EVENT EXPIRED
To play ping pong is to love ping pong, and if you’ve forgotten or not yet discovered how much fun it is – even for total non-sporting folk (like us, alas), now is your chance to pick up a bat and get playing. And that really is all you have to do now that Ping! has arrived (or arrives tomorrow, Friday 29th June, to be precise). Ping! is a lovely organisation that sets up table tennis tables all over England for everyone and anyone to enjoy for free (it really is that pure). They even provide bats and balls. All you have to do is visit their website, find the tables nearest you (there are 475 tables spread over 8 English cities, including loads in London, where the scheme first began in 2010), head to your chosen spot, pick up a bat from the side of the table and play. You don’t need to book and there are often several tables in each location (the website gives you details of all this), so chances are you won’t even have to wait for a game. Ping! has also organised lots of events including tournaments and masterclasses, so if you fancy a bit more structure or competition to your play, then there’s lots of information on all that on, yes, the website.
