Beauty: perfect arms for summer – how to get rid of bobbly skin

Presumably, summer will one day arrive. Oh, Britain, dare to dream. Still, we might as well at least plan on being able to strip off a bit at some point soonish. And so to solving the arm problem – you know, those horrid little red bumps, grouped in angry clusters on our upper arms? Here’s how to deal with them. There’s no definitive cure for keratosis pilaris (to give it its proper name) but here’s a novel way of covering it up: Estée Lauder’s Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator. The problem is that self tan looks truly awful on rough skin, foundations for the body – such as MAC Face and Body – cover all but feel a little stripper-y and even the humble tinted moisturiser rubs off on clothes. This product may have been created for toning down spots and blotches on the face but its instantly smoothing powers work equally well on arms. And while it does contain soothing anti-irritants, we’re not advocating using it every day – just when you’re feeling a little self-conscious.
