Going Out
Film: Les Enfants du Paradis at the BFI

EVENT EXPIRED
Marcel Carné’s 1945 film about life and the love affairs among the actors and mimes, villains and aristocrats of Paris’s Boulevard de Crime in the early 19th Century is sublime, and one of those films that is often on those ‘best ever’ lists. We saw it ages ago, loved it, and can’t wait to see it again on the big screen especially as it has now been digitally restored and so will look all the more glitteringly brill. What a way to spend a winter evening. It’s really proper, transporting, mesmerising cinema.
