Theatre: book now for the return of Jerusalem

Hurrah, hurrah, one of the best plays we’ve ever seen, Jerusalem, complete with original cast members, Mark Rylance and McKenzie Crook, is returning this autumn after a sell out season in NYC. If you haven’t had the chance to see it, you must: it’s a proper theatrical tour-de-force, and has won a gazillion awards, including the Evening Standard Awards for best play (Jez Butterworth) and best actor (Mark Rylance). But that isn’t the real reason to see it – the overwhelming, eye-popping, must-see reason is Rylance himself who puts in the most astounding performance you’ll ever see on stage.
