Good finds: fab UV swimsuits for kids by Sunuva
Oh yay! At last! Has anyone else been searching for a UV kid’s swimsuit that isn’t totally hideous, shockingly brightly coloured and covered in logos and branding? We’ve been scouring the shops and looking online for a normal, nice UV swimsuit and found nada—and then just yesterday we heard about Sunuva. It’s a design company set up by Emily Cohen, a clever duck who has loads of experience in the market place (she developed TopShop’s own cosmetic range for example), who had the same problem – she got sick of her holiday snaps being ruined by garish swimsuits apart from anything else – and so has done something about it. Sunuva has a great range of stuff for boys, girls and adults too—with prints inspired by Cohen and her partner’s travels, and ranging from slightly hippyish (in a good way) Indian elephants and Nepalese buddhas to really great Nantucket marine stripes and English florals.
Their quick dry rash vests have clever, pretty details, and we love their pjs, kaftans and dresses too (also for grown ups). It’s not quite cheap enough for our liking, but it’s not silly prices either and if you visit their online shop now, they’ve got a sale on. Best of all, all their swim wear and rash vests are UV protected, offering 50+UPF.
