Out and About: Snowdrop days at Chelsea Physic Garden – with 2 for 1 admission for A-Little Bird readers

Chelsea Physic Garden is London’s oldest botanic garden, founded in 1673 for the study of apothecary. Today, it’s still a centre of education (we did a great compost clinic there a couple of years ago), but it is also a living museum and a great place for an escape—it’s really a beautiful garden—right in the middle of the city. Normally it’s shut all winter, till April, but this weekend, it opens its door to allow visitors to admire its many varieties of snowdrops. Wending your way along the trail holding someone’s hand and thinking about all kinds of new beginnings is an incredibly romantic thing to do, plus the cafe will be serving mulled wine, as well as breakfast, brunch and stew.
