EVENT EXPIRED
If you’ve been to the Hayward Gallery’s fantastic, interactive exhibition, Move: Choreographing You, you may have already hula-hooped inside the gallery and become part of artist Christian Jankowki’s installation. It’s worth doing. The whole exhibition is great, in fact, and a good one for older kids, as the interactive element is irresistible and challenging rather than embarrassing. Go this Saturday afternoon and you’ll catch their hula-hoop celebration, with workshops led by Hoop La La’s Jessie Rose (1pm for beginners; circus tricks and dance routines at 2pm). DJs The Broken Hearts will be providing music, spinning retro and hip-hop party tunes, and there will be performances by London’s leading hoop groups and international Hoola Hooping star (as you do) Marawa the Amazing.
